What it’s Like to Work With a Yorkshire Wedding Celebrant (And Plan Your Dream Wedding)

A Unique Wedding Ceremony:

Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield

Congratulations on embarking on this exciting journey towards planning your perfect wedding day; celebrant-led wedding ceremonies are the most beautiful way to capture your love story and your uniqueness as a couple.

An unforgettable, heartfelt ceremony perfectly crafted for us

We couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful celebrant. From the very first meeting, she spent so much time getting to know us, listening to our story, understanding our personalities, and learning what really mattered to us. Her warmth and curiosity instantly put us at ease, and it was clear she genuinely cared about making our ceremony deeply personal.
— Katie and Stephen

As your wedding celebrant, I’ll ensure your wedding ceremony feels personal, relaxed and full of joy. I view my ceremonies as a modern take on the traditional - so no legal jargon or unfamiliar formalities - just a gorgeous celebration of you!

Getting to Know You: The Couple Questionnaire

If you are considering me as your wedding celebrant (or have already booked) you’ve probably heard about my couple questionnaire. That’s because it’s a foundational tool in the way I work to ensure your ceremony feels genuinely personal.

Your bespoke questionnaire form the bases of your one-of-a-kind wedding ceremony script. It helps you gather your thoughts ahead of writing your personal wedding vows (if you choose to do so) and, of course, helps me understand your love story more deeply.

Put simply-my questionnaires aren’t just another task on your wedding checklist. They’re a valuable and insightful tool that adds a sprinkle of magic to your special day.

Once you book in with me, I’ll send your personal questionnaire to complete within a realistic timeframe. It includes thoughtful questions about how you met, how you’ve grown together, your favourite moments and what being married means to you.

Crafting a Bespoke Ceremony in Yorkshire:

Your love story is unique, and your wedding should reflect that. A celebrant ceremony is one step towards planning a wedding that feels like you.

Drawing on the insights you’ve shared in your questionnaire, I craft a ceremony which celebrates you: your personalities, your interests, your shared ethos and what makes your relationship special.

Whether it’s heartfelt vows, meaningful readings, symbolic rituals or personal touches that matter to you, the answers in your questionnaire show me how to weave these elements seamlessly into your ceremony.

Building a Connection You Can Trust

Imagine standing at the front of the aisle, surrounded by your nearest and dearest, and feeling completely at ease in the presence of someone who understands you both. That’s the kind of connection I aim to build with every couple I work with

During wedding planning, I stay in regular contact whether through Zoom calls, face-to-face meetings (where possible), voice notes and email. I want you to feel supported, informed and confident.

I didn’t know much about celebrant-led weddings but Michelle talked me through every single element of it and led the process incredibly well, putting us both at ease.

Tailoring Vows And Readings

Vows are often the heart of your ceremony and the moment you get to say how you really feel. If you’re feeling unsure about what to write, you’ll find that your questionnaire will in turn help you shape the wording and the sentiment you’re trying to convey. And if writing them feels daunting, I’m here to guide you, or - if you prefer - help write or refine them with you.

The questionnaire also helps us choose readings and quotes that resonate with your story but enhance your ceremony’s flow and emotional impact…I’m here for the tears!

Respecting Traditions and Personal Touches:

If you want to incorporate cultural traditions, symbolic rituals or customs meaningful to you and your family, we work together to weave these cleverly into your ceremony in a meaningful and respectful way.

This collaborative approach ensures your ceremony honours your heritage and reflects your identity as a couple.

Support And Calm On Your Wedding Day:

Wedding day nerves are natural. With familiarity and trust built through our planning process, I’ll be there to guide you gently through every moment, from welcoming guests to the final celebratory cheer and confetti toss.

When you choose me as your Yorkshire wedding celebrant, you get more than someone to read a script, you get a trusted companion friend who helps your ceremony feel heartfelt, smooth and utterly unforgettable

By taking the time to share your journey, preferences, and aspirations with me, you are not only ensuring a personalised and memorable ceremony but also creating a lasting connection that will make your wedding day truly unforgettable. So, embrace the opportunity to delve into your love story, and let the magic unfold on the day you say, "I do."
Please do get in touch to find out more, I’d love to hear from you.
